CivBuddy
by borito185
CivBuddy is a Fabric utility for players on the CivMC server, bundling quality-of-life tools such as vein marking, diamond counting and command bookmarks.
What it does
Vein marking highlights blocks while the player holds right-click with a pickaxe, and once a block is marked, a 5x5x5 area appears around it. Diamond counting keeps a running total of the diamond ore a player has found, so the count stays readable during a long mining session. Multi-vein tracking lets a player keep several separate veins apart by giving each one its own name.
Command bookmarks arrange frequently used commands in a GUI, so they can be run quickly with a key press. A built-in help system is available in-game through the civbuddy help command, which serves as a feature guide. The author describes CivBuddy as an improved successor to Veinbuddy, and the mod is built around the quality-of-life features used on the CivMC server.
CivBuddy requires Fabric API. Iris Shaders is optional. Servers do not need it; each player installs it for their own game. Builds cover 1.21.8 and 1.21.11, and the latest Fabric file is 1.4.0 for 1.21.11, released on 2026-05-31. The code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Vein marking
Holding right-click with a pickaxe highlights the blocks it touches, and a marked block shows a 5x5x5 area around it.
Diamond counting
Tracks the total number of diamond ore the player has found, giving a simple running count while mining.
Multi-vein tracking
Keeps several separate veins in view at once, each assigned its own name so they can be told apart.
Command bookmarks
A GUI groups frequently used commands so each can be executed quickly with a key press.
In-game help
