Cinch's Missing Blocks
by cinchtail
Cinch's Missing Blocks adds block variants that Mojang left out of vanilla, including brick sets, slabs, stairs and walls for several stone types.
What it does
The mod targets gaps in the building block palette. For calcite, tuff, andesite, granite, diorite and quartz it adds polished, cracked and mossy brick variants, along with chiseled bricks and brick pillars. Packed mud gets slabs, stairs and walls, and a set of wall variants fills the missing polished andesite, granite and diorite walls. New blocks follow the same crafting and mechanical behavior as the vanilla blocks they sit beside.
Installation runs on client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, across 15 release versions 1.21 – 26.2, under All rights reserved, and the project is not open source. The source code is publicly available. Tuff pillars are wired into a built-in resource pack that has to be enabled to show the chiseled tuff bricks as pillars.
Key features
Calcite brick set
Calcite gains polished, cracked and mossy bricks, chiseled calcite bricks and calcite brick pillars, plus normal slabs, stairs and walls.
Stone brick variants
Andesite, granite and diorite each get brick, cracked, mossy and chiseled versions, with brick pillars and the missing polished walls.
Tuff and packed mud blocks
Tuff bricks come in cracked and mossy forms, and packed mud receives slabs, stairs and walls to match its vanilla neighbors.
Quartz and brick additions
Quartz bricks come with slabs, stairs and walls, and a quartz wall and a smooth quartz wall fill gaps in the set.
