Chunk Animator Plus
by Donyka
Chunk Animator Plus, a Fabric client mod, animates chunks as they load so new terrain eases into view rather than popping in.
What it does
Each newly loaded chunk slides into position along a curve the player can adjust, so terrain appears to arrive gradually rather than popping into view. Several animation modes are available, and the speed behavior can be set in the configuration. The effect is purely visual: it does not change gameplay mechanics or world generation.
The mod is built to be lightweight and vanilla-friendly, and it is meant to sit alongside optimization mods without conflict. Because it runs only on the client, players install it themselves and servers do not need it. Files are published for Fabric across 9 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.1.2, under the MIT License, and the source code is public.

Use cases
Flying and exploring
Players moving quickly across the world see new terrain appear smoothly instead of popping in at the edge of the view.
Cinematic screenshots
Slower easing settings give a gentler reveal of freshly generated land when capturing scenery.
Who it’s for: Players who want cleaner, more immersive chunk rendering on their own client, especially those who fly or travel fast and notice terrain popping in.
How it compares
Chunk Animator Plus is open source under the MIT License and runs only on the client, with files for Fabric across 1.16.5 – 26.1.2. FluxMenu is also client-side only and MIT licensed, but its files target only 1.21.11 and it is not a chunk animation mod. Smooth Loading Screen is client-side only on Fabric for 1.21 – 26.2 and is released under All rights reserved, so its source is not open. Fancy World Animations [FWA] covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.20.1 – 26.3 under the MIT License and is open source.
