ChattingEnthusiast reworks Minecraft's chat window with copying, searching, deleting and history options, and it runs on the client alone.
What it does
Chat changes are made in the chat window and its settings, so players can copy a single line by holding Control while clicking it, delete messages in bulk, and search through earlier messages with a jump to the match. Compact Chat and Chat Peek are options for those who want less on screen, and the chat history can be extended to 16,384 lines.
Chat can also persist after the player disconnects from a world or server, and scrolling and other animations are smoothed. The author aims to keep a sleek, unintrusive look and describes the mod as a faithful recreation of the Chatting feature from Polyfrost's mod for an earlier release. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it.
The mod is for Fabric and is published for 1.21.9 – 26.3 across eight release versions. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source, and the source code is public.
