Chat to ChatGPT sends messages from the in-game chat to OpenAI's ChatGPT and shows the replies to the player who asked.
What it does
Players type commands that begin with a set prefix to talk with ChatGPT from inside Minecraft. The API key is entered once through a registration step, and the mod confirms when the key is accepted; an invalid key causes chatting to fail. Setting an API key requires an OpenAI account. Responses appear only in the chat of the player who asked, and the setapi command changes parameters such as the model and the randomness value. The available model is gpt-3.5-turbo, and the randomness value ranges from 0.0 for deterministic answers to 1.0 for random ones.
Files are published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.19.3. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. The code is open source under the MIT License.
