CCNetworks
by patriik
CCNetworks adds wired network nodes and a modem type that carry ComputerCraft peripheral access across longer distances on Fabric.
What it does
Its two node blocks, the Network Node and the Network Interface Node, extend a wired network so a computer can reach peripherals placed well away from it. An adjacent ComputerCraft device gets a modem peripheral from the Network Interface Node, which needs no extra wiring at the device. Fiber Optic Cable links the nodes together.
The addon is aimed at builds that already rely on CC: Tweaked, where the wired networking it provides can be stretched. Long-distance links keep working through unloaded chunks, which standard CC: Tweaked modems do not do. Network data is stored per world as a separate graph, so the bookkeeping stays manageable as the network grows. CCNetworks requires CC: Tweaked and Fabric API and runs on Fabric 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the MIT License as open source code.
Key features
Network Node block
Extends a wired network so a computer can reach peripherals at a greater distance.
Network Interface Node
A network modem keeps the behavior of a standard CC modem and adds a network type on top of it.
Network modem type
A modem variant that works like a standard CC modem and adds the network type.
Unloaded chunk links
Long-distance wired links continue through chunks that are not loaded, unlike standard CC: Tweaked modems.

Use cases
Remote peripheral access
A computer in one base reads and controls peripherals placed in a distant factory, connected by node blocks and cable.
Large automated builds
Builds spread over many chunks can keep their wired connections without reloading each section.
Who it’s for: Players who already run ComputerCraft builds with CC: Tweaked and want wired peripheral links over longer runs. Server owners who host such builds need the addon installed on the server as well as on each player's client.
How it compares
Re:Plethora is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric for 1.20 – 1.21.1, client and server, so it covers a similar version range. Tom's Peripherals is also open source under the MIT License and is the only listed option that also ships for Forge and NeoForge, across 1.18.2 – 1.21.1. Plethora Peripherals is not open source, and its files cover 1.19.3 – 1.20.1, which does not include 1.21.1.

What the author says
This mod is an addon for CC: Tweaked that adds long-distance wired networking that works even through unloaded chunks, unlike standard CC: Tweaked modems. It does this relatively efficiently via storing network data in a separate per-world network graph. The client config, config/ccnetworks-client.toml, contains…
