CatVision gives the player Night Vision on demand, through a click of a button, without needing server operator permission.
What it does
Activating the button applies the Night Vision effect to the player who clicks it, so dark caves and night-time terrain become readable. The mod's options can also switch Night Vision on automatically, and it works without any permission or operator rights, so it can be used anywhere the client runs. CatVision is inspired by the CatEyes Tee6 mod and is a client mod: only the client needs it, and servers run without it.
CatVision also suppresses the effects that would normally hinder vision. Darkness, Blindness and Nausea are blocked on the client, so the player is not affected by them while the mod is active. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. It requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API on Fabric, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 34 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.3.
