Catch'Em All
by 3855610481
Catch'Em is a Forge and NeoForge mod that adds four Poké Ball-style capture items for taming creatures in the world.
What it does
Four ball types, each with its own capture multiplier, let players try to catch mobs with a right-click throw. Weakened mobs are easier to catch, and the chance falls as a mob's health rises. A caught mob becomes a companion bound to its owner: it will not attack that player, it counterattacks anything that strikes it, and it joins fights against the owner's targets.
The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 17 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, and the code is released under the MIT License, though the project is not open source. The latest Forge file is 1.0.3 for 1.21.11 and the latest NeoForge file is 1.0.3 for 1.21.1, both dated 2026-10-08. Catch'Em does not list any required dependency.
Key features
Four ball types
Standard, Great, Ultra and Master balls each carry a different capture multiplier, from everyday use up to a ball that ignores the usual conditions.
Health-based capture chance
The chance rises as a mob's current health drops, with a 5% minimum even at full health and a 100% cap.
Companion behavior
Captured mobs bind to their owner, counterattack attackers and assist in combat against the owner's targets.
Capture feedback
A ball shakes one to three times after it hits a mob, and particles and sounds mark whether the capture succeeded.

Use cases
Taming tough mobs
Master balls ignore capture conditions, which lets a player bind a mob that would otherwise be too strong to catch.
Building a group of companions
Players can gather several captured animals and mobs into a group that fights alongside them.
Who it’s for: Players who want a capture system for creatures in survival or multiplayer worlds. Server owners who run the mod should expect each player on the server to install it too.
