Carpet LAB Addition is a Fabric server add-on for Carpet that adds sign broadcast markers, chat triggers and extra NBT encoding commands.
What it does
Carpet LAB Addition extends the Carpet mod, which it requires, with features written for the LAB SMP server. A sign whose first line reads a broadcast marker can send its text to chat when a note block below it is triggered, with an optional radius between 1 and 48 blocks and a default of 24. Shulker boxes can also be set to break paintings and item frames when they open.
The mod exposes script events that fire before a player's message is broadcast, letting a script change or cancel a chat message before it is sent, and after a player edits a sign, after vanilla text changes apply, which allows custom sign formatting. It adds encode commands for SNBT and NBT expressions, including a version that accepts heterogeneous lists, and the NBT output follows vanilla's newer format. The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. The code and license are CC0 1.0 Universal, and the project is open source with a public issue tracker.
