Calcite Crafting Recipes is a data pack that adds smelting and crafting recipes for calcite, so players can obtain it in survival.
What it does
The data pack makes calcite obtainable through smelting and crafting, a route that does not depend on finding it underground. Calcite comes from the dripstone blocks and the recipes follow the stone-type crafting patterns of other existing blocks. Diorite combined with bone meal is one of the recipe inputs described in the author text.
Calcite is a block with a white color scheme that appears only in rare underground forms, such as sparse mountain strips, so a steady supply is hard to get. The recipes make a renewable source possible, and players can build automatic calcite farms that hook up a dripstone farm, a bartering farm and a quartz setup, combined with a diorite farm. The pack is lightweight.
The server needs the mod, and players may add it without having to. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, across 22 release versions 1.19 – 26.3. The latest file targets 26.2. Calcite Crafting Recipes is open source under the MIT License.
