Build Your Campfire
by Capitaojob
Build Campfire changes how campfires are built, letting players craft them from sticks and flint without a crafting table.
What it does
Players can craft large sticks by combining two sticks in the inventory, then place four of them on the ground with a right-click to start building an unlit campfire. Lighting it works with flint and steel or fire charges, and players can also light it with a flint in each hand. The campfire recipe is altered so that the vanilla recipe stays compatible with other mods that use campfire crafting ingredients.
The mod adds new campfire cooking recipes, including placing sticks on a campfire to create torches. It suits a survival-minded approach to campfires, turning them into a resting spot built from basic materials. Build Campfire is a lightweight mod that stays close to vanilla and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 17 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, under All rights reserved.
