[BPOP]Botany Pots Ore Planting
by mango-buff
Botany Pots Ore Planting lets players grow ore items inside Botany Pots, adding a mineral route to the Botany Pots crop system for 1.16.5 – 1.21.1.
What it does
Players place a supported seed and soil into a Botany Pot, and after one minute the pot yields the matching mineral. Each grown ore yields its corresponding ingot or block, with output quantity depending on the mod version: 1 or 2 items in builds 15.0.0 and later, and 2 or 3 items in earlier builds. Certain special ores are excluded from the ingot and block outputs.
The mod covers a broad set of common and rare ores, with further supported ores listed in the ModOreSupportList.md file on GitHub. Ice Fire is also covered. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with file names ending in xxx+1.18.2-1.20.4 marking the applicable Minecraft versions. Botany Pots and Bookshelf are required, and Bookshelf needs a version from 1.18.2 onward.
Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. It is published under the MIT License and is open source; the source code and issue tracker are public. Files cover 11 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, and the latest files are Fabric-15.16.0 for 1.20.4 and NeoForge-14.35.1 for 1.21.1.
Key features
Ore growing in pots
Botany Pots grow mineral ores from supported seeds placed with soil, with no extra machines.
Matching ingots and blocks
Grown ores drop the corresponding mineral ingot or block, except for certain special ores.
One-minute growth
Each growth cycle takes one minute, so a pot returns its ore output quickly.
Wide ore support
Many common and rare ores, including ancient debris, can be grown in a pot.
