Botany Ores lets Botany Pots grow ore blocks, with soil tiers that gate progressively richer ores.

What it does

Botany Ores extends the Botany Pots mod by letting players grow ore blocks in pots. Each ore is gated by a tiered soil: a lower-tier soil must yield its ore before the next soil can be used. Soils are made from a surrounding dirt block with the matching smelted ore, and a Fertilizer item is added as well. Five soil types and one fertilizer are included, along with support for other mods and planned updates.

Botany Ores requires Bookshelf and Botany Pots, both of which must be installed for the mod to load. It is a Fabric mod, released under the MIT License, with a public source code repository and issue tracker. Builds cover 1.20 – 1.20.1, and the latest file, 0.4-1.20.1, is for 1.20.1 and dates from 2023-07-30. The server and every player need the mod installed.

    Ore blocks such as copper, iron, gold and diamond can be grown inside Botany Pots.

    Four tiers of soil, from coal to netherite, each multiply growth speed and gate the ores above them.

    A creative soil grows ores at 25 times the base speed, for players who want to skip the progression.

  4. Obsidian blaze powder growth

    Obsidian and blaze powder can be grown, adding another route into the Nether materials.
