BoatFix lets a player eat food while steering a boat by holding the W key, so eating no longer requires stopping the boat.
What it does
Normally a player has to stop moving to eat. With BoatFix, holding W keeps the boat moving while the food is consumed, and the vanilla controls stay unchanged. The integration works with the boats' edible items and needs no new keybinding. The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it and do not need it installed.
Installation needs Fabric API on the Fabric loader and nothing extra on Forge or NeoForge. BoatFix is published for 1.12.2, 1.16.4 – 1.21.10 across 23 release versions, with the latest Fabric file for 1.21.10. Files also exist for Forge and NeoForge. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
