Boat Froster makes the Frost Walker enchantment work while a player drives a boat over water, freezing the surface beneath it.

What it does

Frost Walker normally freezes water only under a walking player. This mod extends the same effect to a boat being driven across the surface, so ice forms along the route. Frosted ice that the boat leaves behind decays as it does for walkers, and the boat itself does not move onto ice in a different way. Without the enchantment, boats behave as in vanilla. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, for game versions 1.21.6 – 1.21.8, and it is also offered as a data pack for server platforms.

    Driving a boat with the Frost Walker enchantment freezes the water it crosses, as it would for a walking player.

  2. Ice decay preserved

    Frosted ice created by the boat decays over time in the same way as ice made by walking.

  3. Vanilla movement kept

    Boats on ice and water keep their normal movement, so the change affects only the enchantment's effect.
