Block Sort is a Fabric decoration and utility mod that gives players a sorted view of blocks in the creative and search screens.

What it does

A sorting screen arranges blocks by hue, chroma, lightness and roughness, so a player can find the shade or texture wanted for a build. A text field filters the list by the letters C, L, H and R, which stand for chroma, lightness, hue and roughness. The mod is client-side only, so the server does not need it, and Fabric API is required.

Key features

  1. Sort by color properties

    Blocks can be ordered by hue, chroma, lightness and roughness, which makes shades easier to compare.

  2. Filter with a search field

    A text field accepts the letters C, L, H and R to narrow the list to matching block properties.

  3. Refresh textures button

    After a resource pack is added, a refresh button reprocesses the textures so the sort reflects them.

This is still a WIP, some things haven't been fleshed out but its good enough for a release. The Refresh Textures button is for when you've added on a resourcepack and need the textures to be reprocessed.
