Blocketing
by crunnna
Blocketing links a Minecraft server to Discord, syncing chat commands and posting join, leave and start-stop notices to a channel.
What it does
Blocketing bridges in-game chat and a Discord channel. Messages typed on either side reach the other, and commands can be relayed between the two. The mod posts join and leave notifications with each player's avatar, along with announcements when the server starts and stops. An optional player chat webhook mode sends messages through a Discord webhook, showing the sender's avatar and name instead of a bot message.
Everything is configured in-game through blocketing commands, which only operators can run, so no config file editing is needed. A toggle command switches the update notification on or off; when enabled, the server reports newer mod versions as they appear. The player chat webhook mode can be enabled or disabled the same way.
Blocketing runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. Its files target Fabric only, for the 1.21.5 – 1.21.10 range, and the latest file is 2.6.0 for 1.21.10. The mod is released under the MIT License and its source code, issue tracker and wiki are public.
Key features
Chat sync with Discord
Messages and chat commands are relayed between the in-game chat and a Discord channel in both directions.
Join and leave notices
Join and leave notifications are posted to Discord with each player's avatar attached.
Server start and stop announcements
The server announces when it starts and when it stops, so the channel knows the server's state.
Webhook chat mode
Player messages can be sent through a Discord webhook, showing the player's avatar and name.
In-game configuration
Settings are changed with operator-only commands in the game, without editing files.
Update notifications
The server can report when a newer version of the mod is released, and the check can be toggled on or off.
