BetterTridentReturn
BetterTridentReturn changes how the Trident slot behaves in the inventory, so a thrown Trident comes back to the slot it was thrown from.
What it does
Players who throw a Trident normally see it come back to their hand or be picked up off the ground. This Fabric mod keeps the Trident in the slot it was thrown from once it returns, so the hotbar layout does not shift during combat. The change is made on the client, which means it works alone, in single-player, and on vanilla servers without any server-side install.
The mod is client-side only, so servers do not need it and players join without installing anything on the server side. It is published for Fabric across 9 release versions, 1.21.8 – 26.3, and the latest file is 1.7 for 26.3, released 2026-05-29.
