BetterTellraw
by AmberFrost
BetterTellraw extends the tellraw command on a server, with managed message storage and placeholder support for sending formatted text to players.
What it does
Server owners use the mod to store tellraw messages under an identifier and send them later, so a message written once can be reused across commands and scheduled events. Messages can be sent to all players or only to those inside a chosen area, which suits announcements tied to a region, a spawn zone or an event arena.
Formatting goes further than the vanilla command. Placeholder API values can be inserted into text, and string interpolation fills in variables at send time. Permission checks come through the Fabric Permission API, so access to each message or command can be limited to the players a server owner picks.
The mod is server-side only, so players join a server running it without installing anything. It is published for Fabric and Quilt for game versions 1.17 – 26.2, and requires Fabric API on every build. Its code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Managed tellraw storage
Messages are kept in storage under an identifier, so they can be edited once and sent from many places.
Send to an area
A message can be delivered only to players inside a specified area rather than to the whole server.
Placeholder API values
Placeholder API values can be placed inside message text, which lets a message show live player or world data.
String interpolation
Variables are filled into message text at send time, so one stored message can carry different values each time it is used.

Use cases
Event announcements
A server team can store a start message for an event and send it to the players inside the arena only.
Shared server messages
Welcome text and rules can live in storage and be reused by several command blocks or datapacks.
Who it’s for: Server owners who run tellraw commands regularly and want reusable messages, area-limited delivery or permission-checked text. Players on a server running the mod need nothing extra.
How it compares
Logtellraw Command is also server-side only and open source under the MIT License, but it covers Fabric alone for 1.18 – 26.2. Advanced Chat is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and runs on Fabric for 1.19.3 – 26.3. Correspond UI is different in kind: it is a Fabric mod for 1.21.10 under All rights reserved, and its environment is not server-side.
