Better Resource Pack Menu
by alexander888
A cleaner, more compact screen takes the place of Minecraft's default resource pack selection menu, which suits players who keep a large number of packs installed.
What it does
The screen shows resource packs in a two-column layout, with each entry much smaller than in the default menu, which makes large pack folders easier to scan. Packs can be reordered by dragging the selected entry to a new position, replacing the up and down buttons of the default screen. Hovering over a pack opens a details panel, and the mod lists only the Minecraft versions that the pack's metadata and filenames declare.
The visual style takes its inspiration from the settings menus of modern mods, with a cleaner and more compact interface. The mod only changes how packs are browsed and organized; it does not add or modify the packs themselves. Sodium is required, and the mod is published for Fabric Loader 0.19.3 and later.
It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. Files are published for Minecraft 26.2 only, with 1.0.0 for 26.2 as the latest file, released under the MIT License. The code is not open source.
Key features
Two-column pack list
Resource packs are laid out in two columns with smaller entries, so long lists fit on screen.
Drag to reorder
Selected packs can be dragged to a new position to change their priority, instead of moving them one step at a time.
Pack details panel
Hovering over a pack opens a panel with its details, including the Minecraft versions its metadata declares.
Compact settings style
The screen borrows the clean, compact look of modern settings menus, including the style of Sodium's settings menu.
