Better No Chat lets a player switch Minecraft's chat off with one keystroke, while system messages and command feedback stay visible on screen.
What it does
A keybinding toggles the chat window instantly, which helps players who record footage, stream or play with fewer distractions. Player messages can be hidden while system messages keep appearing, so command results and game notices still reach the player. An optional whitelist lets specific usernames come through even when player chat is hidden.
A small HUD indicator shows whether chat is currently on or off. Settings are edited through Cloth Config, and the mod is described as lightweight. It is a client-side mod: no installation is needed on the server, and players on any server can use it. It targets Minecraft 1.21.11 on Fabric only, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
