Better Gold Equipment changes golden tools and armor so that gold gear becomes a practical choice rather than a fragile novelty, with settings for tiers and durability.
What it does
Golden tools can break blocks up to the iron tier, and golden swords deal more damage than before. Gold-based equipment also slowly regains durability over time, which offsets the low durability gold has in vanilla. Every change is adjustable through the mod's configuration file, including tool tier behavior, so a server owner can tune how far gold gear reaches. The mod runs on the client and the server, so both sides need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20 – 1.21.1 across four release versions, and the code is not open source, with the mod released under All rights reserved.
