Craftable Wither Skulls

Wither Skeleton skulls become a craftable item under this mod, so a player no longer has to locate a Nether Fortress and grind for drops. The recipe is simple and custom, which makes the path toward a beacon and summoning the Wither easier to reach while survival play still keeps its challenge.

The mod is aimed at peaceful servers and worlds where Nether Fortresses are disabled, and at players who would rather not spend hours on skull drops. It works on singleplayer worlds and servers. The author notes that command spam and performance impact are not an issue, and that the world folder can be opened as usual. Only the server needs the mod to run the recipe; a player whose client lacks it can still join and use the crafted skulls, because the client side is optional. Server owners who want their players to craft skulls should install it on the server.

Installation uses the preferred loader, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with a data pack option for server platforms. Files cover game versions 1.21 – 26.1.2 across 15 release versions, and the latest file is 1.21.2+-B for 26.1.2, a beta build from 2026-05-24. The mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
