Better Baby Mode

Better Baby Mode is a Fabric recreation of Fundy's baby mode, with some twists that change how a player survives.
What it does
Better Baby Mode loosely recreates the baby mode from Fundy's content, applying a set of hazards and rules to the player. Falling damage is reduced by feather falling, but sprinting and jumping still work as normal. Suffocating blocks break the player's head, lava and nearby powder snow change behavior, and water and obsidian turn into magma blocks in some cases. Looking at a log breaks it, and effects last indefinitely.
Holding an elytra or trident in the main hand gives an enchantment, and a nether portal can be made from dirt. Monsters die when the player gets within 4 blocks of them, animals respawn after being killed, and tools, weapons and armor are affected by the rules too. The mod requires Fabric API, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 26.2 with the latest build dated 2026-06-17, and the mod is open source under the MIT License.
