Bending Styles
Bending Styles lets players use the four elemental bending powers from Avatar: The Last Airbender, with abilities bound to key combinations.
What it does
Players start with elemental powers and gain access to a specific element by reading a normal scroll, which can be crafted or bought from a librarian villager who trades fire scrolls. Each new scroll opens the next element, and a right click while holding the scroll grants a bender advancement. Seven ancient lore pieces, gained by slaying a fire gargoyle and by completing a parkour temple among the air islands, open further progress.
Abilities are triggered by pressing different key combinations, similar to move inputs in fighting games. Examples include FirePunch, FireJump, FireCircle, FireBreath, Firewall and AirSlice. A character pose appears whenever the advancement is earned, and the keys for the pose can be changed in the settings. The mod runs on NeoForge for 1.21.8 – 1.21.11 and requires both the client and the server.
Client and server: both the server and every player need the mod. Files are published for NeoForge only, with 1.0.3 for 1.21.11 as the latest build, released in beta on 2026-03-08 under All rights reserved. The code is not open source.

Abilities such as FirePunch and AirSlice fire from sequences of R, G and V keys, similar to fighting game inputs.

Each element is granted by reading a scroll, and scrolls can be crafted, bought or earned through lore pieces.
Fire and air techniques
FireBreath works like a flamethrower, FireCircle shoots fire around the player, and AirJump propels upward and forward with elytra.
