Battle Arts
by Forixaim
Battle Arts adds four battle styles, Squire, Recruit, Journeyman and Ronin, to the Epic Fight combat system, each with its own weapons and fighting techniques.
What it does
Each battle style gives the player a different set of weapons and a different way of fighting. Squire centers on swords, daggers and bows with cavalry skills. Recruit uses spears, crossbows and shields, and the wearing of armor to take hits. Journeyman relies on heavy weapons such as axes and can also fight unarmed, and repeated use of heavier weapons raises its power and health. Ronin focuses on Japanese weapons, katana and tachi, with fast bursts of high damage and lower durability.
Battle Arts requires Battle Arts API and Epic Fight, and runs on Forge and NeoForge for 1.21.1. Its files cover nine release versions, and the mod is released under the MIT License as open source. It is a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Epic Fight Battle Styles is the community project that accepts contributions to the styles.
