Barless
Barless removes the title bar from the Minecraft window on Fabric, giving the game a cleaner top edge while keeping the window movable and resizable.
What it does
With the bar gone, the operating system's close, minimize and maximize controls appear only when the pointer hovers near the top edge of the window. Moving and resizing the window still works as before, so the window can be dragged, resized and arranged alongside other windows without the default frame.
Barless is a client-side only mod, so only the player's game needs it and servers run without it. It is built for Fabric, uses TimelessLib as a required dependency, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only; the source code and issue tracker are public. Files cover 1.19 – 26.3 across 25 release versions, and the latest Fabric build, 1.4 for 26.3, was published on 2026-09-15 after the mod's first release on 2026-06-15.
The mod suits players who prefer a minimal window frame, including those who keep the game in a tiled or multi-window desktop layout. It does not change gameplay or the game's rendering, and it has no configuration screen described by its author.

Use cases
Minimal desktop layout
Players who tile or stack several windows can keep the game window flush without a frame taking up space at the top.
Cleaner screenshots
With no title bar in view, captures of the game show only the game area.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want a plainer window frame for the Minecraft client. Servers and players who do not use the mod are unaffected.
