Create: BalancedFlight gives players flight through the Ascended Flight Ring, with the Flight Anchor marking where that flight is allowed.
What it does
Equipping the Ascended Flight Ring lets a player fly freely, much as in Creative mode. A second route uses rotational force from Create machines to power flight inside a limited area, and the Flight Anchor defines the zone where that flight works. The Ascended Ring is a high-cost item, and the author notes that modpack authors can change its balance through the mod's settings.
The mod adds Elytra gliders that can be used as intended: players can take off from the ground with them, lose durability as they fly, and launch into a glide by crouching and pressing C in the air. Holding W while sprinting with a firework boost is free and unlimited. The goal stated by the author is to keep Elytra flight enjoyable and relevant across the game's progression.
Create: BalancedFlight requires Create, Curios API and Geckolib. It is published for Forge only, on 1.20.1, and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.
