AVM - Advanced VeinMiner lets a player break a whole connected vein of ore with one pickaxe swing, for pickaxes and ores from vanilla and Forge.
What it does
Mining a single ore block also removes the connected ores of the same kind, so a vein is cleared in one action instead of block by block. The mod supports vanilla pickaxes and ores, and it also works with Forge ores and Forge pickaxes. Its XP system awards experience for the blocks it breaks, and the Fortune and Silk Touch enchantments apply to every block in the vein.
The mod is built for Forge on Minecraft 1.18.2 only, with its latest file, 1.1, published on 2025-08-30. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it can be installed on a client alone, a server alone or both. The license is All rights reserved, and the code is not open source. Files were first published on 2024-12-15.

Experience rewards
An XP system gives experience for the blocks a vein yields, so mining in bulk also adds to progress.

Both enchantments apply to each block removed by the vein, so drops follow the same rules as single-block mining.
