Artistry Live

by Iliiasik

Artistry Live lets players create custom paintings, alone or with friends in real time, and place them in the world.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Players draw custom paintings in a single session, and several players can work on the same canvas at once in real-time multiplayer. The idea behind the mod is a simple way to decorate a world with personal paintings without extra blocks or complications. Paintings are made by applying colors to blocks, which stylizes the chosen image.

Posters and banners come in three states, and a copied item returns an empty instance while the used instance disappears in the crafting process. Signed posters cannot be edited or copied afterwards. Artistry Live is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.2.3 as the latest version, dated 2026-09-23.

Key features

  1. Real-time shared painting

Several players draw on the same painting together, with the work updating live across the session.

  2. Custom painting creation

Players build their own paintings from colors and blocks, with images stylized by the chosen palette.

  3. Full color palette

Every color is available, and a HEX code can be entered to pick an exact shade.

  4. Three-state posters and banners

Posters and banners move through three states, and signed posters lock against editing and copying.
