Armor HUD
by CubingXT
Armor HUD shows the armor a player wears in a small widget placed next to the offhand slot, so durability stays visible during play.
What it does
The widget lays out the armor items in a compact row, drawn in a minimalistic, vanilla-like style without extra text or numbers. An item appears in the widget when its durability drops low enough to warn the player, so a nearly broken piece draws attention before it breaks. Where the widget sits and other parameters can be adjusted in the configuration file.
Many mods assume that players read durability from numbers over the screen, and Armor HUD is aimed at players who prefer to see the armor itself. The mod runs on the client alone: a player can install it on a single-player world or a multiplayer client, and a server does not need it. It is published for Fabric and NeoForge, with files for 26.1.2 as the latest and five release versions across 1.21.8 – 26.1.2. Armor HUD is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Armor shown beside the offhand
The armor view sits next to the offhand slot, so the durability of each worn piece is always in sight.
Vanilla-style widget
The widget reuses the look of the inventory items and adds no text or numbers, keeping the screen uncluttered.
Low durability warning
A piece of armor appears in the widget when its durability is low enough to warn the player.
Configurable placement
The widget position and other parameters can be changed in the configuration file.

How it compares
No Durability is a Fabric and NeoForge mod for 1.21 – 26.1 that runs on both client and server and is open source under the MIT License, so it changes how durability is handled rather than only showing it. QuickClock and Armour Durablity Hud are both client-side only Fabric mods under the MIT License, with QuickClock covering 1.21.10 – 26.3 and Armour Durablity Hud covering 1.21 – 26.3, but neither is open source. Safe Offhand is a Fabric client-side mod for 1.21.8 – 26.3 under the MIT License and open source.
