Area Hints
by IMSng
Area Hints displays a name when a player walks into a region, and shows a title animation at the top of the screen for each area entered.
What it does
Regions are drawn as polygons with a name, colors, heights and a freely chosen boundary. Entering a region brings up an RPG-style title, and nested regions such as a throne room inside a kingdom show combined titles. Outside every region, the dimension's default name appears, for example Wilderness Continent.
The areahint easyadd command starts an interactive setup where the player walks around the area and clicks to create it. Names, colors, heights and boundaries can be changed later, and regions can be split or merged. Calculations run on the client with multithreading, so the server carries almost no load.
Area Hints is a client and server mod: the server and every player need it. It loads on Fabric and Quilt for 1.19 – 1.21.11, and is released under the MIT License as open source.
