Players who want more ranged weapons can add Arch Bows, a Forge expansion that brings new bows and crossbows into the vanilla bow family.

What it does

Arch Bows adds a set of bows and crossbows that extend the vanilla ranged weapons. The added bows include the Short Bow, Recurve Bow, Flat Bow and Long Bow, and the added crossbows include the Heavy Crossbow and the Pistol Crossbow. Each weapon has its own arrow velocity and handling, so a single weapon does not dominate the others and choosing one becomes a matter of playstyle.

The mod is built for Forge and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.18.2 – 1.20.4 across eight game versions, with 1.1.9-1.20.4 for 1.20.4 as the latest file, published on 2024-02-23. The code is not open source and is distributed under All rights reserved. Arch Bows is required by Extended flax.
