Advanced Mobility Mechanics
by Sygikal
Advanced Mobility Mechanics lets players crawl through one-block cavities, climb walls and fences, and jump a second time in mid-air.
What it does
Crawling lets a player move through a gap one block high, provided the block above the feet is clear and the player is sneaking. Climbing works on fences, bamboo, chains, rods and similar blocks, and a player can also climb out of sand, powder snow and other blocks that normally trap movement. The mod targets the 1.21.4 – 1.21.8 range on Fabric, with Data pack builds also published.
Double jumping allows a second jump while airborne, and the mod is set up so that landing after a double jump does not cause fall damage on the same Y-level. Individual features can be turned off in the configuration, including running, crawling and double jumping, so server owners can keep only the mechanics they want. The server must run the mod, while players may join without it, so the server decides which mechanics are active for players.
Key features
Crawling through gaps
Sneaking under a single block of clearance lets the player crawl forward, with the block above the feet required to be clear.
Climbing blocks
Fences, bamboo, chains, rods and other climbable blocks can be climbed, and sand or powder snow no longer fully hold the player in place.
Double jump in mid-air
A second jump is available while the player is airborne, and landing from it does not deal fall damage on the same Y-level.
Toggleable mechanics
Running, crawling and double jumping each have a disable option, so a server can keep only the mechanics it wants.
