Always Shield changes how the shield behaves when a player holds the use button, removing the delay that normally follows a right-click.

What it does

Always Shield keeps a shield raised on the server side, so a player who holds the block button is not left waiting after a right-click before the shield takes effect. The change applies on the server, and players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 23 release versions 1.20.1 – 26.3, with snapshot builds also published.

Key features

No raise delay
Removes the short delay that follows a right-click before the shield becomes active.
Steady block
Keeps the shield up while the block button is held, so repeated presses do not drop it.
Server-side change
Works on the server alone, so connecting players need no extra install.
