Alternate Gunpowder

Alternate Gunpowder lets players craft gunpowder from coal and charcoal instead of relying on creepers, which gives a new route to a common crafting ingredient for Forge on 1.20.1.
What it does
Gunpowder normally drops from creepers, so a world without creeper farms can be slow to supply it. This Forge mod adds a crafting path: coal or charcoal placed in a crafting table is turned into the base powder that gunpowder needs. A craft of gunpowder takes one of that base powder and one blaze powder. Once gunpowder is available, crafting TNT, rockets and other gunpowder-related items becomes easier.
The mod is built for players who want a more dynamic way to obtain gunpowder and to explore more of the world instead of waiting on mob drops. It is a first Minecraft mod by its author Jouto. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The files target 1.20.1 only, and the mod is released under the MIT License without being open source.

Coal and charcoal placed in a crafting table are crushed into black powder, the base component of gunpowder.
Gunpowder from black and blaze powder
One black powder and one blaze powder combine into gunpowder, linking the mod to the blaze powder supply.
Easier gunpowder-related crafting
With gunpowder available sooner, TNT, rockets and similar items can be crafted without waiting for mob drops.
