After Netherite Upgraded adds a new netherite tier, with tools and armor crafted through recipes that follow the vanilla netherite pattern.
What it does
Upgraded netherite items form a tier above vanilla netherite. Their crafting recipes follow the same shape as the vanilla ones, so a player who already knows netherite can move to the new tier without learning another process. The mod's author describes the goal as making the late game last longer and feel harder, while keeping the vanilla progression in place.
The v1.1 update made upgraded netherite tools resist fire the way vanilla netherite tools and armor do, and it lowered the knockback resistance granted by netherite armor. The v1.1.1 update fixed further bugs and brought reforged textures for a cleaner look. The mod runs on Client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with the latest builds covering 1.20.1 and 1.21.11, and the code is released under the MIT License, not as open source.
