by MarvinEckhardt

Advanced Rocketry - Reworked extends the Advanced Rocketry space mod for Forge 1.12.2, adding rockets, planets and satellites to a single world.

What it does

This fork of Advanced Rocketry was taken over from an abandoned project and developed further under the same name. Rockets can be assembled from modular parts, and their flight is governed by a damage system and a weight system. Asteroid mining missions send rockets to collect resources, and multiblock machines produce the parts used in construction. The mod supports several solar systems, custom planets and warp travel between them.

Satellites form a larger part of the rework. Data satellites report on a world, a weather satellite produces humidity data, and terraforming satellites change a planet's biomes. Terraforming is handled by a Terraforming Terminal, which uses an orbital laser drill to reshape the heightmap inside safe zones, and a biome changer that can transform an entire planet. Space stations and structure protection are also included.

Install ARLib alongside the mod, since it is listed as a required dependency. Advanced Rocketry - Reworked runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under All rights reserved, which means it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Modular rockets

Rockets are assembled from separate parts, and their flight depends on the parts chosen and on a weight system.

  2. Asteroid mining and warp travel

Rockets can fly asteroid mining missions, and warp travel links the solar systems and custom planets the mod supports.

  3. Terraforming satellites

A Terraforming Terminal programs a biome changer and an orbital laser drill to transform a planet's surface and biomes.

  4. Reworked sky and effects

Rocket flame and smoke particles, planet rings, the black sky color and the fading of distant suns were rendered again to match atmospheric density and pressure.
