3x3 Super Tools adds pickaxes, shovels and other tools that break a 3x3 area in one action, plus Crying Obsidian tools with extra durability.
What it does
The tools break a three-by-three block area per swing, which clears large tunnels and quarries faster than single-block mining. The core mining mechanic has been refined for better performance, and the mod is intended to cut repetitive gathering while keeping vanilla progression and challenge intact. Items are reachable through the normal crafting and survival flow rather than creative-only commands.
Crying Obsidian tools are introduced as a durable tier for long projects, so builders can spend time on construction instead of repairing gear. Combining Super Tools with Crying Obsidian blocks at an anvil restores durability. The mod is compatible with the vanilla Mending enchantment, so XP-based repairs still work on its tools.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files cover 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.8, 26.1 and 26.1.1, and the code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved.
