Mind Erosion is a Forge mod for 1.19.2 that adds a Mimic entity and psychological horror built on environmental tricks rather than combat.
What it does
The mod centers on psychological horror. Its unique Mimic entity imitates familiar surroundings, and unpredictable events make known places feel unnerving. Tension comes from environmental disturbances and manipulation of the player's sense of safety, not from traditional combat or survival mechanics. The aim is an unsettling, immersive experience that avoids cheap jump scares and gore in favor of atmosphere.
Both the server and every player need the mod, since the environment is client and server. Server owners can spawn Mimics by hand to unsettle other players, which makes it usable for pranks as well as solo play. Mind Erosion is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Its only published build is version 1.0, for 1.19.2, dated 2025-06-22, and it requires Forge.
