Wandering Trader Fix

by ProHacker888

Wandering Trader Fix changes the Wandering Trader so that its trades are worth seeking out, replacing the usual two buckets with curated biome-themed trade sets.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11 – 26.1.2

What it does

The trader's stock is rebuilt around biome-themed trade pools. Each time a trader spawns, the mod pulls trades from three different biomes, so one encounter can offer sweet berries, spruce logs and leather from the taiga, coral, kelp and tropical fish from the ocean, quartz, blaze powder and soul lanterns from the Nether, or sculk, echo shards and amethyst from the deep dark. The trader carries 12 trades in total, and each one is meant to be useful rather than filler.

Trades cost 50% less than the same purchases from a normal villager, which the mod presents as a reason to seek out the trader. A custom spawn system places the trader exactly where the server owner configures it, instead of at random. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. It is published for Fabric alone, for 1.21.11 and 26.1 – 26.1.2, and the code is open source under the MIT License. Fabric API is not listed as a requirement.

Key features

  1. Biome-themed trade pools

Each spawn draws trades from three biomes, giving every trader a flavor of its own.

  2. Halved trade prices

Every trade costs half of what a normal villager asks for the same item.

  3. Twelve curated trades

The trader offers 12 trades in total, chosen to keep the stock useful.

  4. Configurable spawn placement

The custom spawn system lets server owners choose exactly where the trader appears.

  5. Survival, creative and modded worlds

The mod works in survival, creative and modded worlds alike.
