WorldWeaver: New Dawn

by Raijin2312

Worldweaver: New Dawn is a shared world generation utility library for Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge, maintained as an unofficial continuation of the BetterX Team's project.

FabricNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 26.3

What it does

The library provides APIs and reusable code for registering biomes and deciding where they appear, setting up features and their placement rules, shaping terrain and world-generator settings, and handling structures. It also covers surface rules, world presets, and tags with data generation. Its purpose is to hold common world generation tasks in one place, so other mods can rely on it instead of writing their own versions.

It also connects to vanilla world generation systems. WorldWeaver: New Dawn adds little standalone gameplay of its own, so it is typically installed only as a support library for other mods. Two libraries are required alongside it: BCLib: New Dawn and WunderLib: New Dawn. Four catalog mods currently depend on it, including BetterEnd: New Dawn, BCLib: New Dawn, BetterNether: New Dawn and Dungeon Train: A Lore-Rich Roguelite RPG Adventure.

The project is open source under the MIT License, with public source code and an issue tracker. It runs on client and server, and every player and the server need it. Files cover 1.21 – 26.3 for Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge, and the loader attached to each file should be checked before the file is chosen.

Questions

Does WorldWeaver: New Dawn need BCLib: New Dawn?

Yes. BCLib: New Dawn is listed as a required dependency, so it must be installed alongside WorldWeaver: New Dawn.

Does WorldWeaver: New Dawn have to be installed on the server?

Yes. It is client and server, so the server and every player need the library.

Which loader should be chosen for WorldWeaver: New Dawn?

Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge files are published, but availability differs between versions. The loader listed on the selected file should match the installed loader.

Is WorldWeaver: New Dawn the official WorldWeaver?

No. It is an independent community continuation, not maintained or endorsed by the original developers or the BetterX Team, and it is not an official release.
