WorldLimit Fabric
by Alphine
WorldLimit is a Fabric mod for servers that gates access to individual dimensions behind a player's XP level, PlayerEX level or other conditions.
What it does
Server owners set requirements for each dimension, so a player who has not met them cannot enter it. The gate can depend on vanilla experience points, on a PlayerEX level, or on the Director's Cut level. Higher-tier worlds such as the End, the Twilight Forest or the Eden Ring can be held back until a player has progressed far enough, which suits story-driven modpacks and MMO-style servers.
The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. Its configurable requirements are applied per world, and a portal can be pushed back when a player does not qualify. Item-based milestones are listed as coming soon. The mod requires Fabric API, names PlayerEX as an optional companion, is released under the MIT License, is open source, and is published for 1.20.1 only, with 1.0.0 as the latest Fabric file.
Key features
Dimension access gates
Each dimension can be locked so that players must meet a stated condition before entering it.
XP and level requirements
Access can be tied to vanilla experience points, a PlayerEX level or a Director's Cut level.
Portal pushback
A player who does not meet a requirement is turned back at the portal instead of being teleported through.
Safe teleport fallback
Teleport detection checks the destination, and a fallback location is used when the target is not allowed.

Use cases
Progression servers
Server owners can hold the End and other late worlds behind experience thresholds, so progress follows the intended order.
Story-driven modpacks
Dimension gates can match a modpack's chapters, opening new worlds only after earlier goals are reached.
Who it’s for: Server owners running progression-focused or modpack servers on Fabric 1.20.1 who want to control which dimensions players can enter.
