World Install Button

by Pigxity

World Install Button puts an install shortcut on the Select World screen, so a saved world archive can be added to saves without leaving the game.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.20 – 26.2

What it does

On the Select World screen the mod adds a button that scans the user's default folder for zip files that contain a Minecraft world, identified by a level.dat file. The player picks one of the listed worlds and it is extracted straight into the saves folder, with no manual file moves. The folder is resolved from the user home folder and works on both Windows and Linux. The mod is client-side only, so servers do not need it. It is published for Fabric alone, across 19 release versions 1.20 – 26.2, and the source code is released under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Select World button

A button on the Select World screen opens the install list without leaving the game.

  2. Folder scan for worlds

Zip files in the user's default folder are checked, and only archives holding a level.dat file are offered.

  3. One-step extraction

The chosen world is extracted straight into the saves folder, and the Edit World screen can export a world as a zip into the same folder in one click.
