World Name Randomizer

by Aizistral

World Name Randomizer generates a random name whenever a player opens the world creation screen, so new saves do not need a hand-picked title.

ForgeClient-side onlyCustom license1.18 – 1.19.2

What it does

Once installed, a fresh random world name is produced each time the world creation screen opens. The names follow the pattern World XXXX-FFXX, where each X is a digit and each F is an uppercase Latin letter. Players who create many worlds no longer have to invent titles one by one.

The mod has a configuration file named worldnamerandomizer-client.toml in the config folder, where the generated name and the seed field behaviour can be adjusted. Players can choose whether a random name is applied at all, and whether the seed field should be filled to match the generated name. The mod was previously part of the Enigmatic Legacy mod.

It runs on Forge and is published for 1.18 – 1.19.2 across six release versions, with the latest Forge file for 1.19.2. Servers do not need it; each player installs it for their own game. The code is under a custom license and is not open source; public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Random world names

A new name in the World XXXX-FFXX format is generated each time the creation screen opens.

  2. Seed field control

A setting decides whether the seed field is filled to correspond with the generated name.

  3. Client configuration

Options are stored in worldnamerandomizer-client.toml, which can be edited in the config folder.

Stockpiling thousands of "New Worlds" in saves when we are too lazy to create something original. World names are formatted as "World #XXXX-FFXX", where X…
