WindUI

by deidaraxx

WindUI, a Fabric client overlay, replaces parts of the in-game interface with customizable HUD elements such as waypoints, zoom, fullbright and motion blur.

What it does

The mod is a customizable user interface overlay for Minecraft Java Edition. Its HUD elements include waypoints, zoom, fullbright and motion blur, and the set can be changed to suit the player. WindUI also adds social features that let a player add friends, see what they are playing and join their single-player worlds without setting up a paid server. Those social features require the WIND Launcher to be used alongside the mod, while the rest of WindUI works as a standalone mod.

WindUI runs on Fabric and is installed on the client only, so servers and other players do not need it. Files are published for 16 release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.3, with snapshot builds included, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.2.1 for 26.2. The mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. The author lists an issue tracker and a wiki as public links.

Key features

  1. Customizable HUD

Waypoints, zoom, fullbright and motion blur can be enabled and arranged through the overlay.

  2. Friends and shared worlds

Players can add friends, see their activity and join their single-player worlds, with the social features free of charge.

  3. Conflict handling

When one mod clashes with a single feature, that feature is turned off and the rest of the mod keeps running.

  4. Rendering support

The overlay is built to work with Sodium, Iris and VulkanMod, including native Vulkan rendering, and it includes a glass effect based on ReGlass alongside its own Frosted Glass option.
