Wind Fix
Wind Fix changes how wind charge bursts interact with explosion knockback resistance, and it runs on servers only.
What it does
By default, wind charges and wind bursts push players and mobs far enough to get past explosion knockback resistance, even when netherite armor or blast protection enchantments are worn. This mod makes wind-based explosions respect that resistance, so a player wearing protective gear is moved far less by a wind burst. The change covers wind charges thrown by players and dispensers, wind charges shot by a Breeze, and wind bursts created by maces and wind charging potions.
Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. It is a Fabric mod for 1.21.11 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public. Wind Fix is open source under the MIT License, and the 1.0.0 file was published on 2026-01-31, the same day as its first release.
Key features
Resistance respected
Wind bursts follow the explosion knockback resistance that armor provides, instead of ignoring it.
Blast protection counts
Armor enchanted with blast protection reduces the push from wind-based explosions in the same way as other explosions.
Wind charges from players and dispensers
Wind charges thrown by players or fired from dispensers are covered by the same resistance rule.
Breeze and mace bursts
Wind charges shot by a Breeze and wind bursts from maces or wind charging potions are also affected.

Use cases
Protected PvP and combat
Servers where mace or wind charge fights should not send armored players flying can keep vanilla combat with the resistance rule in place.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want wind bursts to respect armor protection. Players only need the server to run the mod, and no client install is required.
How it compares
No Knockback Resistance is a Fabric mod for 1.21 – 26.3 that is also server-side only and released under the MIT License, but it is not open source as a separate project in this list. Windburst in Netherite Armor is server-side only and published under the Apache License 2.0 for 1.21.10, so it covers a single game version. Wind Launch is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, for 1.21.8 – 1.21.11, which makes it a different kind of mod.
