Wildlife Expanded: Skunk

by YourDailyModder

Wildlife Expanded: Skunk adds tamable skunks to the game, which players can breed, feed and train to follow them around.

FabricForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Skunks can be tamed with sweet berries, and a tamed skunk heals when fed sweet berries again. A Skunk Commanding Stick tempts skunks with sweet berries, and carrots are the food used to breed them. Sweet berry bushes do not hurt the skunks walking past them. A skunk that is attacked panics and sprays the attacker, and a tamed skunk follows its owner once the owner gets more than 20 blocks away. Baby skunks follow their parent.

The mod is a Mobs addition with a Decoration tag, and it runs on Fabric and Forge for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, with nine release versions in total. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The mod is licensed under All rights reserved and is not open source. Its first file was published on 2023-09-08, and the most recent Forge file, for 1.21.1, is dated 2024-08-09.

Key features

  1. Taming with sweet berries

Skunks are tamed by offering sweet berries, and tamed skunks can be healed with the same food.

  2. Skunk Commanding Stick

A stick tempts nearby skunks with sweet berries, letting players lead them without taming first.

  3. Spray defense

Skunks that are attacked panic and spray the attacker, a reaction that discourages hostile players and mobs.

  4. Following behavior

Tamed skunks trail their owner once the distance passes 20 blocks, and young skunks stay close to their parent.
