Tamable Fairy lets players tame Maid Fairies from Touhou Little Maid, feeding them sugar and cake to keep them as owned companions.
What it does
Maid Fairies from the Touhou Little Maid addon become tameable with this mod. Right-clicking a Maid Fairy with cake tames her, and sugar restores 2 health points to a tamed fairy. A tamed fairy is owned by one player, and a fairy owned by a player cannot damage other fairies owned by that same player, which limits friendly fire between a player's own companions.
Tamed Maid Fairies stop targeting Iron Golems and other mobs that are normally hostile to them, so they do not pick fights the player does not want. Touhou Little Maid is required, and this mod is an addon to it. Tamable Fairy runs on client and server and is published for Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the MIT License. Its source code and issue tracker are public.

Right-clicking a Maid Fairy with cake tames her and makes her owned by the player who fed her.
Healing with sugar
Sugar given to a tamed Maid Fairy restores 2 health points.
Owner-based friendly fire
Fairies that share an owner cannot hurt one another, and a tamed fairy no longer picks fights with mobs that would normally be hostile toward it.
Planned features
A right-click sit ability, modeled on how vanilla tameable creatures behave, is on the development plan, and more configuration settings are expected in later releases. The current config class is a placeholder.
