Wayfinder adds in-world waypoints and location tracking, with a signalscope-style tool inspired by Outer Wilds.
What it does
Navigation in Wayfinder is handled by blocks and items placed in the world rather than by a menu or HUD overlay. Players set waypoints and track locations through these in-world objects. Cardinal Components API is required, and the mod runs on client and server, so both need it. Files are published for Fabric, across 2 release versions, 1.21.1 and 1.21.10, and the latest file is 3.5-fabric.1.21.10 for 1.21.10, dated 2025-12-07. The code is public, but the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Diegetic navigation
Waypoints and tracking live inside the game world instead of on a HUD, so the interface stays part of the setting.
Signalscope tool
A signalscope-style item, inspired by the Outer Wilds tool, locates signals and points the player toward them.
Range and accuracy upgrades
Signal Booster and Signal Expander upgrades raise the signalscope's range and accuracy, at an added cost.
